Magic Millions contender Unencumbered has been crunched by punters to win his final lead-up at Doomben on Saturday.
Online bookmaker Sportsbet reports heavy support for the Testa Rossa colt forcing his price from $11 into $5.00. Such is the volume of money, favourite Oakleigh girl has eased from $2.30 to $2.70.
“It’s been a huge go for Unencumbered. He’s received about eight times more support than any other runner and his price has just tumbled and looks set to continue to,” Sportsbet’s Ben Hawes said.
The Gai Waterhouse trained Echo Gal ($3.30) rounds out the top three for Saturday’s race.
However, Echo Gal is the $4.20 favourite for next month’s Magic Millions Classic on the Gold Coast. Oakleigh Girl ($4.40) and Unencumbered ($8.00) follow, but that could change after Doomben.
