Veteran stayer Kincaple has swept into Perth Cup contention after his game second to rising star Ihtsahymn last Saturday.
Kincaple ($6.50), who was run down late in the CB Cox Stakes, is the best backed cup runner with online bookmaker Sportsbet.
West Australian Derby winner Rohan ($5.50), who was third in the Cox Stakes, heads the betting from Black Tycoon ($6.00).
Pop Culture ($7.00) is the second most popular with punters and there has been a nibble for longshot Fancy Feet ($26).
“Kincaple is an eight-year-old, but the punters don’t seem to care. He was very game in the Cox and the 2400m of the Cup will be right up his alley,” Sportsbet’s Ben Hawes said.
