Champion trainer Chris Waller appears to have a mortgage on Saturday’s Emirates Stakes with Boban and Sacred Falls according to the market with online bookmaker Sportsbet Australia.
Boban is a heavily backed favourite, firming from $4.60 into $3.80. Stablemate Sacred Falls ($7.00) is on the third line and Toydini ($6.50) splits the pair.
“The Waller camp is flying, he won Group 1’s with Red Tracer and Zoustar on Derby Day and he should finish the Flemington carnival with another. It’s been one way traffic for Boban, he’s the only horse punters want,’’ Sportsbet’s Haydn Lane said.
In Saturday’s Sprint Classic Buffing ($7.00) is currently playing second fiddle to favourite Lucky Nine ($4.00).
Buffering is great value after edging out Lucky Nine in the Manikato Stakes.
